The Visual Edge: Graphic Organizers For Standards Based Learning is a compilation of innovative visual instructional tools designed for each Common Core standard, grades 6-12 in the following areas:

  • Reading and Informational Text
  • Reading Literature Text
  • Writing
  • Speaking/Listening
  • Language
  • History/Social Sciences
  • Science/Technical

Visual instructional tools or graphic organizers are a critical part of a successful curriculum as they provide a bridge for teachers and students to truly engage in learning experiences that develop students’ upper level thinking skills, related to learning standards. The Visual Edge transforms Common Core from ambiguity to precision.
