Pearson offers Interactive Efficacy Tool

Pearson_Education_logoPearson Education has used its Efficacy Tool in its consultations with clients for years. Now the Efficacy Tool is available online in an interactive version for districts, schools, and others looking to evaluate the efficacy of tools, apps, hardware, and programs.

This interactive tool asks 12 questions to help a planning team explore what efficacy means and identify any barriers to delivering desired learner outcomes. It will also help identify ways to improve the product, service, or class so that it has a better chance of delivering high quality learning, making a greater impact.

The tool focuses on four general areas:

  1. What am we trying to achieve? (outcomes)
  2. What evidence is there that this product will help with our goal? (evidence)
  3. What’s our plan to use this tool? (planning and implementation)
  4. Do we have what we need to make the plan work? (capacity to deliver)

There is an online version as well as a downloadable pdf. Try it out at:
