The National Comprehensive Center for Teacher Quality (or TQ Center) has released new resources focused on how “meaningful professional learning” into the design and implementation of teacher evaluation systems. These resources include:
- Aligning Teacher Evaluation with Professional Learning, an infographic showing the relationship between the two.
- Generating Teaching Effectiveness: The Role of Job-Embedded Professional Development, which highlights three elements the TQ Center believes will support continuous improvements in teaching and learning.
- Toward the Effective Teaching of New College- and Career-Reading Standards: Making Professional Learning Systemic, which discusses coordinated human capital reforms that nurture professional learning.
- Linking Teacher Evaluation to Professional Development: Focusing on Improving Teaching and Learning, a guide explaining six required components of an aligned teacher evaluation and professional learning system.
