These skills include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Understand Role in the Workplace and Have Realistic Career Expectations<\/li><li>Recognize and Deal Constructively with Conflict<\/li><li>Accept and Apply Critique and Direction in the Workplace<\/li><li>Listen Effectively<\/li><li>Communicate Accurately and Concisely<\/li><li>Realize the Effect of Decisions<\/li><li>Build Professional Relationships<\/li><li>Navigate Change and Ambiguity<\/li><li>Identify and Analyze Problems<\/li><li>Transfer Knowledge from One Situation to Another<\/li><li>Ask Good Questions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, employers and college faculty are not always aligned on the relative importance of these skills. For example, setting realistic career expectations was the top employer-identified skills gap, but it ranked only ninth among faculty.
