Federal law acknowledges that children with gifts and talents have unique needs that are not traditionally offered in regular school settings, it offers no specific provisions, mandates, or requirements for serving these children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Core Education\u2019s October issue brief, we explore the challenge of meeting the needs of gifted learners, including the opportunity gap in high-poverty schools, the need for professional learning for teachers, and the lack of policy to govern gifted education, all with an eye toward meeting the
