The program will begin in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The clinical residency approach to training teachers used by the School of Education and Urban Teachers is similar to Johns Hopkins&#8217; proven clinical model for preparing doctors,&#8221; said David Andrews, Dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Education. &#8220;By preparing new teachers with the same high standards expected for doctors, the partnership will produce some of the best new educators in the country.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Urban Teachers and Johns Hopkins partnership will offer a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in educational studies that prepares new teachers to succeed in low-income and minority schools. The degree will offer new teachers training in general and special education, equipping them to meet the needs of all learners.<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coreeducationllc.com\/blog2\/johns-hopkins-school-of-education-forms-partnership-to-train-urban-educators\/urban-teachers-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6092\"><br
