This project started last year with the intent to update the 2008 standards. The standards, now known as the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (formerly ISLLC), were designed to ensure district and school leaders are able to meet new higher expectations and improve student achievement.<\/p>\n<p>Listed below are links to the new standards for educational leaders as well as previously released performance expectations and indicators for school leaders and standards for teacher leaders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccsso.org\/Documents\/2015\/ProfessionalStandardsforEducationalLeaders2015forNPBEAFINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Professional Standards for Educational Leaders<\/a> (formerly ISLLC)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccsso.org\/Documents\/2008\/Peformance_Indicators_2008.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">CCSSO Performance Expectations and Indicators for School Leaders<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctl.vcu.edu\/images\/15138_TeacherModelStandards.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Teacher Leadership Standards<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the past year, CCSSO and NPBEA conducted two public form comment periods, several focus groups, and facilitated a 13-member panel\u00a0 who took public feedback and incorporated it into the final version of\u00a0the new standards.
