Students in high-poverty schools lack the supports needed to become college ready, and school districts that serve the highest percentages of low-income students and students of color receive significantly less in local and state funding than districts that serve predominantly white and affluent students. Concerns about equity also extend to the gender gap and equitable services for gifted students.<\/p>\n<p>In this month\u2019s issue brief, we explore resources and recommendations related to issues of equity in education.<\/p>\n<p>How can parents and educators advocate for more equitable outcomes for students?
