This research and policy brief examines suggested approaches and exemplars for evaluation system design for &#8220;the other 69%.&#8221; It is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tqsource.org\/publications\/MeasuringTeachersContributions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.tqsource.org\/publications\/MeasuringTeachersContributions.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Teacher Evaluation Models in Practice<\/em><br \/>\nThis resource develops a model for Teacher Evaluation that includes eight key components. These components are Evaluation System Goals, Communicator &amp; Stakeholder Involvement, Evaluation Format, Strength of Measures, Evaluator Selection &amp; Training, Alignment with Professional Development &amp; Standards, Data Infrastructure &amp; Transparency, and System Evaluation. A searchable (and growing) database allows you to view the way model evaluation systems are designed along these eight components or a look at multiple evaluation systems for each component. The resource promises to be helpful to states and school districts striving to develop comprehensive and effective evaluation systems for teachers and principals.<br \/>\nTo explore this resource, see: <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.learningpt.org\/tqsource\/evalmodel\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www3.learningpt.org\/tqsource\/evalmodel\/Default.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>High-Quality Professional Development for All Teachers: Effectively Allocating Resources<\/em> addresses the aspect of the teacher support system that is perhaps the most important and often the most weakly implemented: teacher learning and development. The report explores ways to select high-quality professional development, allocate resources for high-quality learning activities, and evaluate the effectiveness of professional development. It offers examples of promising approaches to teacher professional development and self-assessment tools for states and districts to gauge their own progress in this area.
