Meanwhile, and for the most part, the programs that prepare teachers have not been held to the same high, outcomes-based standard (that is, their graduates&#8217; effectiveness in the PK\u201312 classroom). As such, calls for the reform of teacher preparation accountability systems are increasingly being turned into action.<\/p>\n<p>TQ Center\u2019s webinar will feature a distinguished group of presenters to discuss how best to assess teacher preparation program quality and effectiveness so that fair and comprehensive systems of accountability and support can be built. Presenters include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jane Coggshall<\/strong>, Ph.D.,<strong> Lauren Bivona<\/strong>, and <strong>Dan Reschly<\/strong>, Ph.D., of the TQ Center, who will discuss their research and policy brief, <a href=\"http:\/\/cl.exct.net\/?ju=fe331774746d0779751771&amp;ls=fdce15727d6400787511717167&amp;m=fefc1575706602&amp;l=fe5e15787562027e741c&amp;s=fe2d11767665047f7c1478&amp;jb=ffcf14&amp;t=\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Evaluating the Effectiveness of Teacher Preparation Programs for Support and Accountability<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>George Noell<\/strong>, Ph.D., of Louisiana State University, who will present information on the evolution of Louisiana&#8217;s assessment and accountability systems for teacher preparation and on the state&#8217;s efforts to align standards, program designs, and outcomes in a changing context.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cory Koedel<\/strong>, Ph.D., of the University of Missouri, who will discuss his recent co-authored working paper from the National Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER), titled<em> Teacher Preparation Programs and Teacher Quality: Are There Real Differences Across Programs?
