{"id":1773,"date":"2012-08-07T07:54:51","date_gmt":"2012-08-07T11:54:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coreeducationllc.com\/blog2\/?p=1773"},"modified":"2012-08-07T07:54:51","modified_gmt":"2012-08-07T11:54:51","slug":"building-support-for-effective-teaching-the-impact-of-public-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coreeducationllc.com\/blog2\/building-support-for-effective-teaching-the-impact-of-public-will\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Support for Effective Teaching: The Impact of Public Will"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/coreeducationllc.com\/blog2\/building-support-for-effective-teaching-the-impact-of-public-will\/united-way-logo\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1774\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1774\" title=\"united-way-logo\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/coreeducationllc.com\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/united-way-logo-300x129.jpg?resize=257%2C117\" alt=\"\" width=\"257\" height=\"117\" \/><\/a>The United Way Worldwide (UWW) recently released a study on how communities can work together to advance effective teaching and empower effective teachers.\u00a0 Beginning in July 2009, the study took place in 14 communities located in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>United Way Worldwide worked with the communities to identify strategies to support and enhance effective teaching at every grade level, and developed and deployed new models of community engagement.\u00a0 At the outset of the study, UWW worked from the assumption that a third-party collaborative model, in which a community-based organization (such as UWW) works as a neutral convener, would be the best model for pulling together disparate parties to build public support for bold reform.\u00a0 This study confirms that the model works.
