The COVID-19 pandemic further expanded the role of the school administrator \u2013 with major emphasis on student health and wellness, school safety, and equitable practice. Indeed, the school leader\u2019s influence is pivotal, and every school needs a strong leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this month\u2019s issue brief, Core Education explores effective school leadership, including the changing role of principals and APs, their importance to coaching and collaborative leadership, and recent policy initiatives intended to strengthen preparation and professional learning for school leaders.
