21st Century Learning Exemplar Programs

The 21st Century Learning Exemplar Program highlights best practices in schools and districts across the country that are preparing students for college, career and life by embedding critical 21st century competencies into the learning environment. Currently there are 75 exemplars across the country.

P21 will accept applications to be part of the 2017-2018 21st Century Learning Exemplar cohort through January 31, 2017.

Any early learning center, PreK-12 school or school district in the United States is eligible to apply.

Application Timeline:

  • January 31, 2016 – Application period closes for the 2017-2018 Exemplar cohort.
  • March, 2017 – Notification sent to applicants selected for evaluation visits. Feedback shared with schools that are not selected.
  • March – May, 2017 – Evaluation visits
